The Lion Skin (پوست شیر) is a social drama series directed by Jamshid Mahmoudi, produced by Navid Mahmoudi, and written by Jamshid Mahmoudi and Reza Baharvand. The series stars Shahab Hosseini, Hadi Hejazifar, Mehrdad Sedighian, Pardis Ahmadieh, Panteha Bahram, Alireza Kamali, Babak Karimi, Zhila Shahi, Anahita Afshar, and Ali Owsivand. The series tells the story of Naeem, a man who has spent 15 years in prison for the sake of seeing his daughter. But after his release, he faces a big crisis to meet her. The series has three seasons and each season consists of eight episodes. The Lion Skin has received positive reviews from critics and audiences for its realistic portrayal of the social issues in Iran, such as poverty, corruption, addiction, and violence. Poost-e Shir also showcases the talents of the cast and crew, especially Shahab Hosseini who plays one of the lead role as the detective with great depth and emotion.
